Melissa's Broadway productions Include WICKED (U.S. Glinda & ensemble soloist), original cast in San Francisco and NY’s Gershwin Theatre, the original Grammy winning cast recording, 3 years of WICKED workshops and readings, as well as joining the L.A. leg of the WICKED tour at the Pantages. Melissa also recently had the honor of performing under the musical direction of Paul Geminani for STEVEN SONDHEIM’S 75th CELEBRATION at The Hollywood Bowl. Los Angeles & Regional highlights: Hal Prince’s 3HREE at The Ahmanson, THE SUNSHINE BOYS (The Nurse, starring Ed Asner and Harold Gould) at The Gindi Auditorium, GREASE (Marty) at Civic Light Opera South Bay, MILK AND HONEY (Zipporah) at The Gindi Auditorium, SWEENEY TODD (Johanna) at The Scherr Forum, WEST SIDE STORY (Maria, Best Actress Denver Critic’s Circle Nominee) and SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN (Kathy Selden), both at Denver’s Arvada Center, CHAN & ENG (Sallie) The Falcon Theatre, GILLIGAN’S ISLAND THE MUSICAL (Maryanne) at The Scherr Forum, the West Coast premiere of ENTER THE GUARDSMAN (The Wardrobe Mistress) at Laguna Playhouse, the world premiere of THE TIN PAN ALLEY RAG (Dorothy) at The Pasadena Playhouse. Workshop highlights: Stephen Schwartz’s SNAPSHOTS (directed by Randy Brenner), originating the role of Fernande in Ron Abel’s CAMILLE at The York Theatre in NY, as well as at Pacific Resident Theatre here in L.A. and originating the role of Cydney in MOMMY at ANMT and NoHo Arts Center (directed by Kay Cole). Melissa is a proud member of Los Angeles’ prestigious Musical Theatre Guild having performed in so many of their productions, most recently Daisy Mae in LIL’ ABNER. Numerous shows for the REPRISE! series include BELLS ARE RINGING, OF THEE I SING, WONDERFUL TOWN AND FINIAN’S RAINBOW. She is the voice of BETTY BOOP, HELLO KITTY, Edward in COWBOY BEBOP, Gaz in Nickelodeon’s INVADER ZIM, Rika in DIGIMON, and so much more in the voice-over/studio singer world. Recordings include: WICKED, CAMILLE, THREADS, GILLIGAN’S ISLAND THE MUSICAL, VOX LUMIERE’S METROPOLIS, HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, INTOLERANCE, BOXING HELENA and THE TOXIC AVENGER…also NBC Saturday Morning Jingle singer and Jingle parody singer for the Premiere Radio Network. Melissa has been The Coloratura Soloist for VOX LUMIERE since 2000, performing for The Avignon Opera, Cinematheque Paris, The Prince Theatre in Philadelphia, The Ford Amphitheatre, Hollywood and Highland, The Ivy Substation and lots of venues throughout NY, L.A. and France.
