Michell Franklin

Vocalist

Michelle has been revealing and discovering herself through performing for as long as she can remember. Naturally drawn to song, dance, and acting, she immersed herself in the study of it and received her B.F.A. in musical theater at The Boston Conservatory. She enjoyed performing in many theater productions in college, some highlights were PIPPIN, MARAT/SADE and MASTERPIECES. Committed to liberating her artist within, she studied in Boston with Erika Batdorf for two years at her acclaimed school for movement-theater and participated in the original production of MY LIFE IS A MOUNTAINOUS TABLE.

Switching gears to film, she continued to hone her skills by starring in independent films such as SCRATCHING THE SURFACE, a Harvard-Dudley Film Festival award winning film.

Michelle relocated from Boston to Los Angeles to further her career in the arts. In L.A, she starred in a sitcom pilot titled GOD HELP US.

She has performed with VOX LUMIERE most recently at Hollywood & Highland and Seattle, and enjoys singing the stratospheric notes contained in the complex scores. She has fed her creative inspiration by being an active member of the Meta Theater Company headed by Anthony Meindl for the past 2 years and continues to engage in various theatrical projects. She was last seen onstage in The Civic Light Opera's musical production of JEKYLL & HYDE. She enjoyed some time this summer in front of the camera as the 1936 villian Claudia in DEADLY PASSAGE, an action-adventure film shot on the famous Queen Mary ship in Long Beach.

Michelle hopes to continue her success in theater and music while attaining challenging acting film roles. She strives to practice authentic self expression and find balance in her life, while passionately celebrating the journey.
