Every marketing guru and music industry “insider” on Earth will tell you the same thing: “People want to see behind the scenes.” They want the real inside scoop. The day-to-day glamour. The backstage chaos. The rock ’n’ roll lifestyle. Well… I’m here to pull back the curtain. And honestly? It's a lot of spreadsheets.

Now… I feel a little bad for The Old Rep. Because at one point it was just *The Rep*. A perfectly good name. A perfectly good theatre. Everybody happy. Then one day somebody apparently said, “You know what we need? Another theatre.” And instead of coming up with a new name like civilized people, they built a new theatre and basically went: “Well… I guess the original one is the *old* one now.” Which feels a little harsh.

We’ve got a lot of one-nighters coming up this fall. Different city every day. Sounds glamorous… until you start doing the math. In a pre-production session, Colin, our brilliant sound engineer and production manager, casually dropped this: “Have you guys thought about a tour bus?” We said, “No… should we?” He said, “Think about it. Instead of checking into hotels, checking out of hotels, and still driving everywhere… you finish the show, get on the bus, go to sleep, and wake up in the next...
